Move off Google SAS before June 10, 2027
Google is retiring its CBRS Spectrum Access System. Key Bridge moves an existing network onto our SAS without a service cut.
Google stopped accepting new SAS customers on June 10, 2026. Existing deployments stay on Google until the service shuts down on June 10, 2027. A radio still registered there after that date loses its spectrum grant. Start the move while you can still export the inventory and choose the cutover.
Important dates
June 10, 2026
Google stopped new customers and new network registrations.
Until shutdown
Existing Google deployments keep operating, including grants and Google's ESC network.
June 10, 2027
Google SAS shuts down. Radios must already be on another FCC-certified SAS.
Why operators move to Key Bridge
Hitless transfer
Pre-authorize the inventory, then move radios when you are ready. Key Bridge holds the registration and channel assignment for up to a month.
You pay after the move
Transfer customers are charged only after a radio completes the transfer. Plans are month-to-month, with no long-term contract.
A certified SAS, with a portal
Key Bridge is an FCC-certified SAS administrator. The Transfer Wizard quotes the move. The portal manages the radios after it. Uptime is backed by a 99.986% SLA.
How the transfer works
- Create a Key Bridge account. Sign up, or ask us to open the account with you.
- Export the Google inventory. Google’s SAS Portal API exports network data and CBSD configuration while that account is still open.
- Pre-authorize on Key Bridge. The Transfer Wizard reads the inventory, pre-authorizes the radios, and quotes the plan.
- Cut over on your schedule. Move radios when you choose. Registrations and channel assignments stay in place for up to a month so the cut is hitless.
- De-register from Google. After a radio is on Key Bridge, remove it from Google SAS. Google asks for that step before the shutdown.
What moves, and what you keep
Each CBSD leaves Google and registers with Key Bridge. After the transfer, spectrum grants come from Key Bridge. You choose when each radio moves. Radios you have not cut yet stay on Google until you move them, or until Google shuts down, whichever comes first.
Key Bridge pre-authorizes the inventory and can hold the registration and channel assignment for up to a full month. That window is there so you can schedule the cut instead of taking a hard outage.
Only Key Bridge offers this hitless, zero-impact path between SAS providers.
What you pay
You are not billed for a radio until that radio completes the transfer. Google continues to bill its own pay-as-you-go rates for radios that are still on Google.
The Key Bridge price is the monthly plan plus the rate card for radios over the allowance:
- CBRS Innovator, $37.00 per month, 10 radios of any type
- Enterprise, $149.00 per month, 50 radios of any type
- Service Provider, $500.00 per month, 200 radios of any type
The allowance is room you can grow into. The plan price does not change while you are inside it. The rate card is how you see the cost of radios past the allowance, and how you tell when the next plan is the better price.
A 66% discount is applied automatically to every CBSD over the allowance that is operating where Key Bridge does not provide ESC coverage. In those regions a radio may use only the upper 50 MHz of the CBRS band, 3650–3700 MHz. Radios inside the allowance are not discounted. Eligibility comes from the device location.
ESC coverage after you leave Google
Google’s ESC network remains available to radios still on Google until June 10, 2027. It does not follow a radio to Key Bridge.
Key Bridge ESC coverage today is Southern California and the Northeast Corridor, with ongoing expansion. A radio that moves into a region outside that coverage, and that sits over your allowance, takes the 66% service discount. Plan the cut with that difference in view, especially for coastal networks that today rely on Google’s sensors.
Do this while the Google account is still open
Export the device configurations before June 10, 2027. Google documents that export on the SAS Portal API. After the shutdown, that export is gone with the service.
Then register the radios with Key Bridge and de-register them from Google. Google asks for the de-registration so a CBSD is not left authorized on a SAS that is going dark.
A transfer you schedule is a cut you control. The shutdown date is not.
